COMMUNITY SERVICE

The Volunteer or Community Service requirement is changing. For Freshmen and Sophomores in the school year 2018-2019 there is NO LONGER a minimum number of hours required. Rather, you will receive 1 credit on your transcript for every 20 hours of PRE-APPROVED community service you perform. ALL of these hours must be done out of school for non-profit organizations or school-sponsored events.

Juniors and Seniors in the 2018-2019 school year must follow the original requirements--that is, 20 hours for each year you are in CPHS.

When you decide what you want to do, print out the volunteer form, located under the "Forms" tab, fill it out, and SHOW IT TO YOUR COUNSELOR FOR APPROVAL BEFORE YOU BEGIN THE SERVICE.
